THE GLOBAL WARMING "CRISIS"
Chaos
Once upon a time - a very long time, more than 200 years - scientists believed, based on Newton's Laws, that the future of physical systems could be forecast. That belief came to an end in the 1960's, when a meteorologist, Edward Lorenz of MIT, established the modern mathematical theory of Chaos. It's one of the fundamental laws of modern science, along with relativity, quantum theory, the DNA helix, and natural selection. Chaos theory says, categorically, that the future state of the atmosphere, or the oceans, or even of the solar system itself, cannot be forecast for very long. The daily weather forecast is based on several iterations of the same forecast model, begun with slightly different initial conditions; occasionally one of the several outcomes is considerably unlike the others. That's an extreme case; in all cases, all iterations will become more and more different with advancing time. That's why neither Kathy Sabine, nor Mike Nelson, nor Ed Greene will offer you a two week weather forecast. For this reason - and some others as well - climate modelling is worthless.
Incidentally, the "climate forecast models" we hear about from the alarmists - the only support they have, since they don't have any data showing warming - are models of the atmosphere. But water has a thousand times the heat capacity of air; that's why the climate of Florida is rather different than that of, say, Colorado. Nobody has an ocean forecast model. Modelling future climate on the basis of future atmospheric state is an exercise in "tail wags dog." More nonsense.

Man, you wimpy Americans are nothing like us Norsemen. I'm kind of ashamed of you - since, in a sense, I
was the First American. We Norse found this continent a thousand years ago. Now you're letting Socialist politicians - like the ones I left behind in Europe - take it away from you. Lucky Leif
